“The Thinkers Hub” is a created space (like a travelling mela) that can be set up at different kinds of spaces – public and
otherwise; like market places, school/college halls and compounds,terraces of homes, the carnival, community get-togethers. A few tables and chairs, a gaggle of facilitators and some ‘stuff’ like games, cards, videos, puzzles, mind twisters, thought starters...and we are ready for a ‘thinkful’ time of our lives.
For thinking is in! In recent years there has been growing interest across the world in ways of developing children’s thinking and learning skills. This interest has been fed by new knowledge about how the brain works and how people learn, and the evidence of successful efforts across the world, that specific interventions can improve children’s thinking and intelligence.
That what we aim to do at “The Thinking Hub”. The focus in “SOCHO” is on the task of ‘practicing thinking’ in the context of school subjects.
