CEVA and Higher Order Thinking Skills


CEVA has been working with the concept of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) for more than two years. Our work in schools and teacher training has been supported by ongoing action research into the practice of higher order thinking skills.
Bringing a culture of higher order thinking requires a relook at the way our classrooms are currently organised. Our workshops for teachers are designed to help the teachers to organise their classrooms so as to create such a culture. Workshop exercises that simulate classroom situations give a hands-on experience to the participating teachers.

Objective of the HOTS workshops for teachers
  • The participating teachers would get wosrking knowledge of HOTS so that at the end of the workshop the teachers would be able to build a thinking culture in their classrooms which is a prerequisite for higher order thinking
  • Teachers will be able transfer their learning and experience to their own students.
  • They would be progressively be able participate in bringing in the culture of higher order thinking in the school/college.
