The CEVA Resource Centre was started in the year 2000 with the objective of exploring alternative approaches for educating children, different from prevailing practices.
We have:
A Book and Resource Library and an activity bank (teaching-aids and ideas for teaching/learning).
A Resource Group that conducts learning exchange programs for parents, teachers and young people, (organizes workshops, science/math clubs, open workshops in public spaces, stargazing, bird watching, nature walks, story-telling, puppet shows and more….).
On-going research. At present we are putting together learning trajectories for different subject areas for the use of facilitators as well as for making our ideas and discoveries more accessible for schools and people who work with children in different situations.
Development of activities, games and other teaching learning materials at the resource centre. These materials are tested out at our Melas, school support programs and teacher training projects.
